The Power of Saying No!
The Power of Saying No! The Power of What Truly Matters!
In 2014, Warren Buffett was mentoring his pilot, Mike Flint.
Flint asked Buffett how to achieve long-term success.
Buffett gave him a simple exercise:
1️⃣ Write down your top 25 career goals.
2️⃣ Circle the top 5 most important ones.
3️⃣ The remaining 20? Avoid them at all costs.
Flint was confused. Shouldn’t he work on them later?
Buffett shook his head.
"No. Those are your biggest distractions. Until you achieve your top 5, everything else is a trap."
Here’s the lesson:
Most people fail not because of a lack of effort—but because they chase too many things at once.
They say yes to every opportunity.
They fill their schedules with low-value work.
They spread their focus too thin.
So ask yourself:
Are you chasing too many things or focusing on what truly matters?
Are you busy or productive?
Are you saying yes too often—at the cost of your most important goals?
Success isn’t about doing more. It’s about doing the right things.
