About the role

This is an excellent opportunity for a career-oriented Project Engineer as opportunities to construct this type of infrastructure do not happen frequently! The successful candidate will assist the project team in ensuring the project is successfully completed within budget, on time, and in accordance with contract requirements. Includes super hike and accomodation


The Project Engineer will report to the Project Manager and be responsible for the following: 

  • Procurement
  • Programming 
  • Cost control 
  • Providing site teams with support required 
  • Quality Control including management of on-site soil testing lab 
  • Ensuring adherence to WHS, environmental and quality plans 
  • Meetings with site teams to discuss issues arising 
  • Management of design consultants 
  • Sub-contractor management

Responsibilities

  • To be successful in this role you will possess the following: 
  • Tertiary qualifications in Engineering (Civil) 
  • Concrete structures and bulk earthwork experience essential 
  • Demonstrated knowledge of concrete and geotechnical testing methods and specifications 
  • Exposure to programming works, particularly 3-week lookahead programmes and up to 6-month look-ahead programmes 
  • Cost coding and working out daily costs for earthworks/concrete activities  Experience with on-site quality inspections of reinforcement, formwork, earthworks fill  layers 
  • What's most important to us is your attitude, commitment, work ethic and ability to  integrate into our work culture 
    Strong team focus, consultation, communication and leadership skills 
  • Understanding of WHS legislation compliance and management systems 
  • Knowledge of quality management systems ISO 9001 and experience managing quality assurance 
  • Electronic data management and other relevant computer skills
